7th grade students are working on their first project of the year-- abstract paintings! They created a design, reflected multiple times, and are painting their designs with warm and cool colors.

7th grade true colors focuses on the principles of art: pattern, movement, repetition, contrast, rhythm, unity, variety, proportion, and emphasis. Feel free to scroll through and check out some of the artwork students will be creating this year! 7th grade students learned about positive & negative space/shape and created abstract designs!
Some painted, some used pastels & some used color pencils! Corkran has an art show at the Glen Burnie Public Library!
Artwork will be on display from February 2nd in the evening through Sunday, February 26th. On Sunday, February 26th we are having a reception-- all students and families are welcome! It is from 1:00-5:00, please stop by anytime! (The library closes at 5:00.) You may also view the artwork anytime from 2/2-2/26. If students go to the show and take a "selfie" with the artwork to show me they were there, they will receive extra credit! All students attending the reception will also receive extra credit.
