8th grade students designed their own movie characters, created them out of clay, then made movie posters to advertise their movies!
8th grade students are working on their first project of the year-- radial name designs. These images are all students' names reflected around to create a unique design.
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! This page will be updated with what is happening in the 8th grade art room.
8th grade true colors uses the elements and principles of art to develop artistic ideas and to then complete those ideas to realization through art. Feel free to scroll through and check out some of the artwork students will be creating this year! 8th grade students created still-life drawings using different materials.
We used: sharpie, oil pastel, colored pencil, watercolor paint, and regular pencil to create these artworks. Corkran has an art show at the Glen Burnie Public Library!
Artwork will be on display from February 2nd in the evening through Sunday, February 26th. On Sunday, February 26th we are having a reception-- all students and families are welcome! It is from 1:00-5:00, please stop by anytime! (The library closes at 5:00.) You may also view the artwork anytime from 2/2-2/26. If students go to the show and take a "selfie" with the artwork to show me they were there, they will receive extra credit! All students attending the reception will also receive extra credit. Hope to see you there! Ms. Drummond |
