Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! This page will be updated with what is happening in the advanced digital palette classroom. In advanced digital palette, we use google classroom almost daily to complete and turn in assignments. Your child has access to this website at home as well as school.
Advanced Digital Palette is a second level course to Digital Palette. In Digital Palette, students focus on individual tools to create a desired effect. In Advanced Digital Palette, students use knowledge of Photoshop to solve complex problems, and create art that conveys a meaning. Students learn more advanced photo-editing processes and use critical thinking to determine what the best tool to create a desired effect is. Students become autonomous in using Photoshop and learn to critique their own work and the work of others. Create an artistic purpose, look to art for inspiration, and be better prepared to enter an ever-changing workforce. Feel free to scroll through and check out some of the artwork students will be creating this year! Advanced Digital Palette students are learning about 1 point perspective by creating their own rooms and cities using photoshop!
Corkran has an art show at the Glen Burnie Public Library!
Artwork will be on display from February 2nd in the evening through Sunday, February 26th. On Sunday, February 26th we are having a reception-- all students and families are welcome! It is from 1:00-5:00, please stop by anytime! (The library closes at 5:00.) You may also view the artwork anytime from 2/2-2/26. If students go to the show and take a "selfie" with the artwork to show me they were there, they will receive extra credit! All students attending the reception will also receive extra credit. Hope to see you there! Ms. Drummond Advanced Digital Palette students learned how to use bamboo tablets to draw digital self-portraits. Here are two that are completed so far. They came out GREAT!
