Digital Palette students are currently working on isometric images using a grid. Isometric is a way engineers create images where you see all sides equally, as opposed to true perspective where things get smaller to show space. Some students are creating buildings and rooms while others are creating illusions.

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! This page will be updated with what is happening in the digital palette classroom. In digital palette, we use google classroom almost daily to complete and turn in assignments. Your child has access to this website at home as well as school.
A majority of art careers available today deal with digital media: graphic design, web-design, product design, and marketing just to name a few. Many employers will ask if a candidate has experience with Photoshop and other digital media tools. In Digital Palette, students will receive the skills to be successful in today’s technological world. Learn how to utilize Photoshop to meet various needs through the use of tools, layers, and filters. Use the elements and principles of design to solve problems, and discover ways to problem-solve through a digital art medium. Feel free to scroll through and check out some of the artwork students will be creating this year! Corkran has an art show at the Glen Burnie Public Library!
Artwork will be on display from February 2nd in the evening through Sunday, February 26th. On Sunday, February 26th we are having a reception-- all students and families are welcome! It is from 1:00-5:00, please stop by anytime! (The library closes at 5:00.) You may also view the artwork anytime from 2/2-2/26. If students go to the show and take a "selfie" with the artwork to show me they were there, they will receive extra credit! All students attending the reception will also receive extra credit.
